Who is responsible

ShootPal is the data controller for the early access list. You can reach a person at hello@shootpal.co.uk about anything on this page, including any of the rights below.

What the form collects

• Your name.
• Your email address.
• Your studio name, if you give it — the field is optional.
• Which software you use now, if you pick one — also optional.
• The date and time you ticked the consent box, and the exact wording you agreed to: “Email me when ShootPal early access opens. I can unsubscribe at any time.”

That is the whole list, and there is no hidden field. We deliberately do not record your IP address. It would be marginally stronger evidence that you consented, and it is more personal data about you that we would then have to hold and justify — the timestamp and the wording are enough.

Why we are allowed to hold it

Your consent, which you give by ticking the box, and which you can take back at any moment. This is a marketing list, so consent is the only lawful basis that would do — we are not claiming a legitimate interest in emailing you.

Consent has to be a deliberate act, so the box starts unticked, the form refuses to submit without it, and signing up sends you a link you have to click. Until you click it you are not on the list, and we do not email you again.

Where it is stored, and who else sees it

The list lives in a Postgres database hosted by Supabase, in their London region — your details stay in the United Kingdom. Two other companies are involved in getting an email to you:

Resend (United States)

Delivers our email, so it handles your name and address. That is a transfer outside the UK, made under the standard contractual clauses in Resend’s data processing terms.

Vercel (United States)

Hosts this website and runs the code behind the form, so a request you make appears briefly in their server logs.

Supabase (United Kingdom)

Stores the list itself, in London.

Nobody else. Your details are not sold, rented, shared, or passed to any advertising network, data broker or partner.

How long we keep it

• If you never confirm, your details are deleted automatically after 14 days.
• If you do confirm, they are deleted automatically 24 months after you signed up.

Both deletions run on a schedule rather than when somebody remembers, and neither depends on you asking.

Leaving, at any time

Every email we send carries a link that takes you off the list immediately — no reply, no reason, no form. When you use it we erase your name, studio, answer and email address on the spot. We keep one thing, indefinitely: a scrambled, one-way fingerprint of your address, so that if we ever import a list from somewhere else you cannot be added back by mistake. It cannot be turned back into your address, and it is the only way to honour “leave me alone” permanently without keeping the address itself.

You can also just email hello@shootpal.co.uk and we will do it by hand and confirm when it is done.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us to:

• tell you what we hold about you, and give you a copy;
• correct anything that is wrong;
• delete it (see above — the link does this instantly);
• restrict or object to what we do with it;
• give you a portable copy to take elsewhere;
• withdraw your consent, which stops any further use without affecting what we did while it stood.

Email hello@shootpal.co.uk and we will answer within a month, usually far sooner. If you are not happy with how we handle it, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office, the UK’s data protection regulator. You do not need our permission and you do not need to tell us first.

What this site does not do

• No cookies. This site sets none at all — not analytics, not advertising, not “essential” ones. That is why there is no cookie banner: there is nothing to consent to.
• No tracking. No analytics product, no pixels, no fingerprinting, and nothing that follows you to other websites.
• No tracked emails. Our emails are plain text, with no open-tracking pixel and no wrapped links.
• No profiling. Nothing here makes an automated decision about you.

The product is a separate matter

This notice covers this website only. ShootPal the product handles wedding studios’ own client data, and that comes with its own agreement and its own notice, published before any studio’s couples are in it. Nothing on this site touches it. The terms for this site cover what joining the list does and does not commit you to.
